I was ordained as a minister in the Church of England in 2015 before spending five years in full-time ministry in London and Sheffield. In 2020, I started investigating options to develop my theological education further. I was excited to come across Union’s online MTh in Reformed Theology. It meant I didn’t have to uproot my family, and we could stay involved with our church family in Sheffield while I studied full-time for a year. I am incredibly grateful to God for opening up this opportunity to undertake the MTh. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
From my first contact with Union, they supported me exceptionally well. The Union faculty clearly guided our class through the work to reach our goals. The online experience of tutorial groups and post-graduate seminars was very positive. The library staff give students five-star treatment throughout. I can’t speak highly enough about my tutor, who was a constant source of support, encouragement and friendship. Now, one year after completing the MTh and back in full-time ministry, I feel that I am reaping the fruit of the intensive work and development invested in me. The course has given me a deeper enthusiasm for theological learning and a fresh appreciation for my role in teaching and discipling others in the precious Christian faith. For anyone considering further theological study, I can’t recommend Union’s MTh highly enough!
Chris Conn is a minister at All Saints Loose, hoping to lead a group in planting a church in Maidstone, Kent. He graduated from the MTh in Reformed Theology programme in 2021.
